Private summit series

The West Peaks Collection.

A personally curated series for guests who want to experience more of Mauritius, one summit at a time.

Beyond the familiar

Three distinctive peaks. One personal journey.

Begin with the summit that suits you best, or build a complete private collection over several days. Each experience is led by Vanessa and adapted to your fitness, confidence and the conditions on the day.

Highest summit, exposed ridgeline or sustained cardio climb: each mountain reveals a distinctly different perspective of western Mauritius.

Mauritius’ highest summit

Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire (828 m)

Stand at the highest point in Mauritius, 828 metres above the Indian Ocean. The ascent leads into the protected wilderness of Black River Gorges before the island opens beneath you—deep forested valleys, layered mountain ridges and the southwest coast stretching towards Le Morne. This is Mauritius from its summit: quieter, wilder and far beyond the familiar.

Exposed · thrilling · panoramic

Trois Mamelles — Central Peak (629 m)

Climb the central peak of one of western Mauritius’ most recognisable volcanic silhouettes. The steep, exposed ridgeline brings a genuine touch of adrenaline, with hands-on sections and the drama of the drop beside you. At 629 metres, the reward is an extraordinary contrast: sweeping views across the west coast and lagoon on one side; inland towns, cane fields and mountain ranges on the other.

The west coast cardio climb

La Tourelle du Tamarin (563 m)

Rising almost directly above Tamarin, La Tourelle is the collection’s cardio climb: a sustained, sun-exposed gradient that keeps the heart working from the first steps. From the 563-metre summit, the coast opens from Tamarin Bay and Black River across the west coast lagoon, while inland the mountain ranges unfold and Le Morne appears in the distance.

A collection privilege

Piton Canot (534 m), with our compliments.

This shorter summit experience—approximately 1½ hours—is included complimentary when you book the complete West Peaks Collection. It is Vanessa's way of completing the journey with one more beautiful perspective over the west.
